- The SWATT is a cost efficient and effective tourniquet, especially in a buddy aid situation. When combined with the Z-fold dressing that can be packed into a penetrating injury, the SWATT does double duty as a very impressive compression bandage, and duct tape provides the ability to hold dressings or even improvised chest seals. These items come vacuum packed and can be easily and quickly removed, allowing rapid treatment.
