- EASY TO TAKE ON AND OFF BY YOURSELF. Putting on and adjusting this figure-8 upper back brace is simple to do without assistance. Position the crossover point at the middle of your upper back, just below the shoulder blades. Tighten the straps until they feel snug, gently pulling your shoulders back without restricting movement. Secure the straps. Begin by wearing the corrector for short periods, gradually increasing the duration as your posture improves.
